Mainstream Republicans of Washington Announces New Board Member, Mike Gonzalez

The Mainstream Republicans of Washington Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of a new board member. We are looking forward to adding another member from Eastern Washington, as we expand our efforts to reach those all across Washington state. Learn more about Mike Gonzalez below.

Mike Gonzalez is the newest board member of the Mainstream Republicans of Washington. Mike is Precinct Committee Officer in Franklin County and was recently appointed to the FCRCC as the communications manager. Gonzalez was appointed by Governor Inslee in October of 2022 to be a part of the Commission for Hispanic Affairs. Gonzalez says he’s excited to begin his journey with the Mainstream Republicans of Washington.

“I am honored to join this group of leaders who want to unite the party and work across the aisle for a better Washington state. I’m excited to help spread the message of the Mainstreet Republicans. I’m very grateful for Deanna Martinez and the board for giving me this opportunity,” said Gonzalez.

In his professional career, Gonzalez is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Pasco, where he is responsible for business recruitment, retention and works closely with the City’s public relations team on brand management.

Gonzalez spent nearly 20 years in the news business before transitioning into government work. He started his career in Columbia, Missouri as a reporter in 1999 and finished his career as the 4 p.m. anchor at the NBC affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona. He worked more than a decade as a journalist in the Tri-Cities and Spokane markets.

Gonzalez holds a B.A. in Communications from North Carolina State University and attended the well-respected University of Missouri graduate school. Gonzalez is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Washington.

Gonzalez has served and continues to serve on several boards, including: The Pasco Chamber of Commerce, DPDA, Columbia Basin Veterans Center, and the past president of the Hispanic Business Association of Spokane.

Mike is married and has 3 children.
